A beer so good, John Tiner (owner of Salcombe Brewery Co.) bought a brewery!!

One day, while drinking a pint of his newly favourite local beer in a pub, the landlord told John it might be the last pint of Shingle Bay he'd ever enjoy, as the brewery was closing down. So, ever seeking a new adventure, John popped around to the brewery near Kingsbridge on a fact-finding mission. That same afternoon, without knowing a thing about brewing, he decided to buy the business in a bid to save Shingle Bay and to turn the business around. And so, the Salcombe Brewery story began.
