Idiosyncrasies: Ahtanum

Idiosyncrasies will be a series of beers meant to showcase new or unusual hops. The base malt will stay the same between beers while the hopping will be done with one single hop variety. The first is Ahtanum. The beer is hazy from the extra wheat protein and has a soft malt sweetness. On top of that are notes of citrus, lemon and orange rind, and fruit salad. Our house ale yeast ferments this to a dry finish that lets the hop flavor come through.
