Pretty robust and solid for a 2013. Could easily age for another 2-3 years.

Soft and smooth. Tasty!

The softest barleywine I've experienced. Bit of ripe fruit & leather. Superb mouthfeel. Sweetness is gone. Nice recipe Dave!

Brian W.: Russell Brewing Company Yeah! I’ve been hanging onto this one for a long time. Dave gave me one right when it came out.

A little leather is developing, over ripened plum, very subtle toffee nuances, the last slice of bread before it expires, last sip of sherry

Hazy dark copper tiny off-white head. Nose is vegetal, cabbage, sweet malt. Flavour is just no. This has not aged well.

Light barley wine. Balanced and smooth but is lacking some good old barrel kick

The aroma is mildly soapy, the mouthfeel is thin and boozy, with soapy notes, some caramel, some celery in the end.

Light nut, citrus. Best barley wine so far

Shuttle beer very smooth and less intense flavoring. Still rich with raisin and tree nut.

My last bottle. It's held up well

Still oddly hoppy for something of this age, with the odd spice note. Not too far from a red ale.
2013 vintage and the only vintage ever made. Too bad cause it's delicious and cellars superbly.
