Made it to Seattle! This is an odd flavor. Aged on cedar planks, huh? Almost a peet-y nose. It eventually settles into Smokey. Wouldn’t get it again but it is interesting.

Justin Neal: Have fun in Seattle. Let us know if you see anything exciting or find any good restaurants that Heidi and I should put on our list when we go in June.
Jackie: Justin N. The event I was at was at a resort near the airport. Absolutely nothing around!! And cold and rainy the whole time. Not Seattle’s best showing!

Aged on Spanish cedar, it says. Again, how can a plant have a nationality, and in this case I want to know if the cedar has a green card and a permit to work in the US. Bio-nationality issues aside, I think this is a good citrusy IPA. Thanks, Mads B. !
Beer EAGLES: Yes. No.
Beer EAGLES: "French oak has more tannins, while American oak is more aromatic with sweeter tastes of vanilla and coconut,” says Chris Hansen, general manager of the Napa Valley workshop for French barrel maker Seguin Moreau.
Beer EAGLES: Naturally resistant to decay, Spanish Cedar is also known for its durability. Unlike Western Red Cedar, this type of wood has a more even-colored grain, which is preferable for staining or clear natural finishes.
Beer EAGLES: Just one differentiation with my first Google search. I'm sure there are other and more relevant differences
