Wow, just freaking wow. 12 years aging in my garage and I decided to pull it out for my 55th. So fantastic. Big rich smooth gorgeous velvet down my throat. No hint of the 12%, just smooth goodness.

Nutty. Cherries. Isn’t every Renaissance sticky?! In a good way. Dee-lic-ous. Thick and oily which isn’t nice but overall malt is rich and layered. Very nice.

Very dark colour, very rich, malty, raisins dominating. Kept really well, no oxidation, but probably not getting any better. Still have 2013 and 2014 in the rack.

More fruity than just overtly sweet, seems like a few years in the bottle may have almost improved this. Aftertaste is a bit vinous and weird, but pleasant overall.
