LC; having just had this from a bottle only about a month back & finding it well past its prime, I assumed this would be showing its age, too. Happy I was wrong, as this had zero indication of its 9 years. Well taken care of, and I really enjoyed it.

Further aging pushes more of the cherry flavor forward, now drinks like a fine grand cru. [4oz]

Burnt coffee, raisins, caramel, sherry, touch of oxidized nose following to palate, fine acidity, more liqueurish palate and so is oxidation but in a good way, still a fun barleywine to experience.

Cellared at CBC for 9 years. One of my all-time favorites. Burnt toffee, green apple, brown sugar. Pretty Things remains my favorite brewery of all time, I can’t believe it’s been 9 years since they closed. CBC Barleywine Fest 2024!
