So, how does one make a “New New England Style Hoppy Charleston Session Pilsner”? Honestly, you can do it however you want. One option is to take a basic pilsner recipe and add a little oat malt. Then add mash hops, first wort hops, whirlpool hops, and three rounds of dry hops. At this point it just takes a little waiting around and viola, you’ve done it. We used Loral, Willamette and Crystal hops at every stage of the brewing process. This lends an herbal, floral aroma with hints of licorice root and pine. Earthy, herbal notes dominate the palate and lead to a crisp slightly bitter finish. Show Less
