Wow wow wow what a great barley wine. This is one of the best barley wines I have had. The best this year. Just lovely deep sherry flavours and sweetness but not overly sickly. Almonds do come through and just yummy.

Sour citrus fruit, sweet, caramel, molasses, sweet oak, dark, candied fruits. Hazy, very, dark brown, small, creamy, off-white head. Heavy sweet. Dark malts, sweet grain and cereal malts, molasses, caramel, soft carb, full bod. Very nice, rich,sweet.

I enjoyed this one, although it lacked a certain complexity. However, the quince jam / baked apple flavors made it pleasant and very easy drinking.
