Thanks Curators of Craft for this big stout 😃 Opens to a smell of dried red cherries, dark chocolate, liquorice & whisky. Taste is a superb , rich chocolate, sherry, fudge & mixed dried fruit mouthfeel, going into a warming gingerbread aftertaste.

A lot going on here! Huge, boozy and sweet imperial stout with a leaning toward roasty with chocolate notes. Also has a berry fruity element to it. On top of that is the oaky whisky layer bringing another dimension to the whole thing. Impressed!

Weird one. Initial few mouthfuls are very promising, certainly get the whiskey influence and it's pretty layered with fruits amongst the darker notes. Doesn't really develop though and for a big stout it's just a bit easy to drink without noticing a lot
