As this little brewery tucked away in a tiny corner of North Wales continues to grow not only in size, but in reputation to boot, we’re beginning to find that access is being granted to things for us unlike anything we’ve experienced before. When our hop merchant mentioned to us an experimental hop earlier in the year that would become available to us around late summer time, they had us instantly hook line and sinker; and what better way to showcase this in a single hop, DDH pale ale? Exp. 586 uses Yakima Chief’s HBC 586 – a still-unnamed experimental hop that takes those classic Polly’s flavour profiles – mango, guava, citrus and lychee, but amplified up to eleven for maximum intensity.
