Vintage 2022, BO 23/02/2022, BB 23/02/2026, Batch 362; Whisky BA stoutwine blended from Scotch Whisky, maple syrup & Sauternes; Some of you guys mentioned that this one is infected & I am also lucky with that; Aroma doesn't reveals infection rather ↘️

Davor S: Deep notes of dark caramel pepped up with soy sauce, rich port wine, more fudgy bourbon than scotch whisky, mellow spicy wood & moist festive bread; a touch of perfume, floral honey, bread dough & subtle mold; an echo of roasted grains in the shadows
Davor S: Taste: clear infection on the palate but it doesn't come up in a bad or off-putting way (to me it feels like a robust imperialized oud bruin; there is no sour cabbage, acetic acid etc); soft carbonation, still slick & syrups texture without being heavy
Davor S: Medium full body, smooth dryness & warming alcohol (not boozy) in the finish; the palate is covered by a melange of rich toasted sugars (dark caramel, brown sugar syrup, shy maple, liquified raisins etc), port wine and at first snappy tartness (not sour)
Davor S: That mellows out in the second half of the bottle (the palate gets used to it); I guess the Sauternes wine (sweet French wine) spiked infection (the grapes can be infected by noble rot, a highly desirable thing in prestigious Sauternes wines)
Davor S: At first lip-smacking effect; notes of mellowed whisky/bourbon, soaked wood, sweet herbs, subtle hay & faint smoke; addition of toasted & gently glazed nuts in the middle; impression of tannic red wine, red grapes & red berries; feels like a dark BW
Davor S: Aged in red wine barrels or ‘imperial’ oud bruin mentioned above; there is no obvious roasted bitterness; despite the initial firm tartness this is still a nicely enjoyable sipper in my humble opinion

From Ratebeer. 07OCT-2022, bottle @home, from People Like Us Bottleshop. Black, no head. Licorice, black berries, balsamico. Very tart, sweet. Strange one. Is there whiskey in there? Yes. Is the tartness an infection? I guess so. Not a nice brew.
