Better Latte Than Never

We took our standard porter recipe and added lactose and dark roast coffee from Alternative Grounds (just down the street from the brewery). The lactose sugar adds a creamy mouthfeel that accentuates the coffee and chocolate flavours of the beer. This brew was inspired by a Prud’homme Level 3 class discussion. One of the students, David Alexander Suske came up with the idea and actually coined the name. He thought it appropriate considering how long it took us to open the brewery. He’s a funny guy.
