Small Batch Biere De Mars

A beer relative of the Belgian Saison, this rustic farmhouse ale originated in northern France in the 19th century. "Mars" is French for the month of March -- which, historically, refers to the time of year the beer was ready for serving to thirsty farm workers. Coincidentally, it also shares a similar hue to the red planet.

Sensory: Medium-light body, crisp and effervescent. Malt-forward with notes of caramel and toffee. Its farmhouse ale yeast strain brings fruity, estery character to the forefront. Finishes a bit cleaner and drier than many Belgian beers. Show Less
