DOUBLE VOX & OVERHOPS

This beer is a collaboration with Matt McCarthy, to celebrate the third anniversary of his podcast, which is about beer and heavy metal, Vox & Hops. Matt is also the lead singer of Montreal group Cryptopsy and ambassador of the Heavy Montreal festival.

The nose is moist and shiny, delivering a myriad of tropical delicacies. Intense blend of passion fruit and mango with a little papaya, tangerine and grapefruit. The aromas are spectacular. The palate is bright and juicy, but there's a huge, moist hop funk here, with layers of intense citrus and all of it tropical. Some wet herbs meet passion fruit and grapefruit, while the finish is a bit more bitter than your average NEIPA. That said, it works here, helping to wash away any smoothness that lingers. Show Less
