Fuck me! Pretty complex! L: good nice dark brown core, light brown edge. Nice foam. S: caramel malt, bit citrusy. T: same as S, bit of chocolate, some Belgian dark fruits pop up too. Dates, figs. F: medium bodied. Cocoa finish. Soft carbonation.

Sweet and creamy. Strong chocolate palate, with toasted malted bread richness. Carbonation cleans the palate after each sip. Finish is slick sweet and lingering. Bitterness is moderate. Shares many common traits with a red ale and a stout. Not bad.

There's just something about American brown ales. This is a wee bit thin for my liking but I can't say I didn't enjoy it a lot. Not a million miles away from a cascadian IPA; there definitely is a strong hop presence here. Way too drinkable as well.
