Stóri Skjálfti

Stóri Skjálfti is a seasonal beer, brewed in the occasion of "Thorri" season, were Icelanders will sit down and celebrate Thorrablot, a sacrificial midwinter festival offered to the gods in pagan Iceland of the past. We will come together to eat, drink and be merry. Customary, the menu consists of unusual culinary delicacies, known as traditional Icelandic food. These will include rotten shark’s meat (hákarl), boiled sheep’s head, (svið) and congealed sheep’s blood wrapped in a ram’s stomach (blóðmör)! Sounds delicious, right?!
To celebrate Skjalfti's 10th anniversary our choice of Thorri-beer this year is Stóri Skjálfti (Big Tremor), a stronger and bigger lager, Imperial California Common wiht 8,8% alc/vol sold in 750 ml / 25OZ bottles and on tap - Skál! Show Less
