Cupping the Bishop (Simcoe)

Cupping the Bishop is a term my buddy Ray and I used a long time ago. Ray introduced me to the world of craft beer, and his favorite style is Belgian influenced. This is Numbskull's first attempt at a Belgian, and its for you, Ray. Using some advice gleaned by some brewers from Solemn Oath, the malt bill is a variety of base malts, complimented by the addition of Abbey. Belgian syrup was added to the fermenter which provides a little boost of sweetness and adds the dark amber color. Cupping the Bishop will be brewed again, and in each instance, it will be brewed with a single hop. This batch used nothing but Simcoe hops to impart a citrus flavor and aroma. Show Less
