An interesting collaboration between Nomad and Stone Brewing (California- U.S.A.). Brewing legend Mitch Steele helped us out to create a unique Rye IPA. Mitch's knowledge on IPAs and hop dosing in general is beyond awesome and we at Nomad are grateful to him for teaching us some of his secrets.
Two American and Two Australian popular hops were added to the boil.
Rye is known to deliver somewhat of a peppery spiciness to beers and is usually added at around 20% of the total grain bill to really come through, which is exactly what we did to benefit from Rye aromas and flavors. The hops come through big and resiny, West Coast Style!
This collaboration will be one to be remembered for sure.
Dry hopped with so many hops that our yield on the beer decreases more than 20% from the original wort size. But what wouldn't a brewer do to get as much of that hoppy deliciousness as possible, hey?! Show Less
