Empress of India Pale Ale

Brewed primarily for the GCBF. This IPA was formulated with classic English malts used along with traditional hops from the UK and Europe.


David Beardsell : I put this beer together to maybe show what an IPA of 150 years ago would taste like. All malt from the UK including some Smoked malt from Warminster ( All malt back then was kilned over a wood or peat fire and would have has some sort of smoke taste.)
Starting Gravity was 1.080 Finishing was 1.016 for an ABV of 8.4% acl/vol
Hops are Bramling Cross, Goldings East Kent Goldings and Styrian Goldings.
Total IBU's are 93
The casks will be fined with Isinglass. Show Less
