Tokyo Faceplant

BROWN Blockers sure know how to party, especially at Popeyes and especially with THE gold card carrying member, Mr Les Riddell.

After 2 hours they were ejected into a very cold & rainy Tokyo night. So what else would one do but find a bar and keep drinking, right? The night was still young after all. At around 3am, whilst crossing a wet & slippery street, young Les stood on a manhole cover. He lost his footing and perfectly swan dived, face planting into the hard wet pavement below.

Result. One completely stuffed pair of spectacles, a black eye, a mild concussion, cuts, bruises and picking pieces of optical lens out of his face for the next day. Fortunately nothing broken, (other than the specs), as this was the first night of a three week snow boarding adventure. Due to the lack of specs, Les was forced to wear prescription sunglasses everywhere, day or night, earning him the nickname of "The Edge" as he also tended to wear a black beanie. The happy ending includes a shit hot 3 weeks in Hokkaido, pristine pow pow, copious amounts of beer & whisky and the awesome camaraderie that goes with being a BROWN blocker. Show Less
