Brits are not just special or bitter, they are extra special in their bitterness. Yeast from the northern reaches of England was used for its characteristic peach and pear ester profile. A spicy malt backbone of rye, caramel rye and biscuit, sets the scene for the yeast profile to shine. Subtle hints of marmalade and stone fruit from East Kent Goldings hops adds that little bit of extra "English", that no one asked for. What results is a copper, smooth, fruit-cake of a Bitter, one to really savour.
