Color is dark brown copper with red hue. Aroma is sweet orange jam. Complex. Bready. I do get the pear fruit. Taste is nice toffee malty bread with sweet fruit jams. Nice unique flavor. Score was on. Damn good.

Not a barleywine expert, but I feel this might be a version of a traditional British barleywine not what we often have here in terms of increased hop bitterness. In that case, I think this is excellent. Layers of flavor, rich and perfect for sipping.

Dark amber color, super malty with strength and heavy sweetness. Creeps up to the cloying line but stays on this side. Relatively low octane for this style at 8.5%. To me it plays more like a doppelbock which is kind of a relief. OK
