Dark, malty, layered and boozy with amazing notes from the coffee and whiskey barrel aging. Simply exceptional.

Mark: What are the variants? I have been digging the PNW beers, but I admit that sometimes it feels like I am just over-inundated with hazy IPA
Mark: I really appreciate NC beer scene even more now that we are out here.
Mark H: Some of the variants I remember over the years are Whiskey Barrel Aged, Tequila barrel aged, Aged with Cherries, Aged w/Expresso and Cherry.
Mark H: And also brewed with Cinnamon, Vanilla and Habanero.
Mark: I remember this aging like a champ. Like almost not worth drinking until a year+ later. Not like those stouts that get chalky or lose depth.
Mark H: I agree, each year I'll buy 3-5 bottles, put them away, and wait at least 2 years before enjoying the first of a given year.

Aged almost 3 years. Coffee, chocolate, layered and boozy with amazing elements from the Whiskey barrel aging. Exceptional. Sharing with brother Perry D on an impromptu porch beer share.
