Pickle Back

Bourbon barrel-aged Gose blended with Stein's Deli house-made pickle juice! Inspired by the Bourbon and pickle juice shot of the same name. Back in September, we began aging our sour golden ale in a used Heaven Hill barrel with this concept in mind, so we reached out to our neighbor Dan Stein at Stein's Deli to supply their fresh house-made pickle juice. The end result is a dark golden beer (the color comes from the char in the barrel) with a nose of bourbon and oak with a kiss of cucumber and dill. The body is light with a slight, sweet whiskey flavor, but the beer finishes dry and tart with a touch of brine. Show Less
