Age has not wearied this, it's improved it. 2 years after the first try & we find this smooth, slightly empty, bit of dark chocolate, bit of coffee & some burnt toast (aka roasted malt). Good blend :)

On a normal day this beer would hold its own, but the flavours were lost and lacking when compared to some of the big stouts we were drinking. Slighty metallic as well. Such an awesome gift from Nathan M. and drinking the oldest yeast ever found was cool!

Overcarbed, but once settled full body, rich rum and molasses flavours. Some slight burn from the alcohol at the back end with umami flavour, but overall quite smooth.

Last year’s Father’s Day bottle has had a chance to age for 14 months. Still pours like a SOB but it has aged quite nicely. Smooth and easy to drink, the rum notes have taken more of a centre stage alongside some light tobacco leaf and molasses. Good.
