Smoked Imperial Stout with Ultra Peated Malt. Collaboration with Jungle Brewery.
Almost a year and a half ago to this day, we released our first collaboration with our friends at Jungle Brewery - Bahna Smoked Imperial Stout. Since then, we have brewed several more beers together, some of which will be released later. But now is a perfect moment to release Bahna again, only this time with an improved recipe. It seemed to us that there is never enough peated flavour - we are from Belarus, for hell's sake! - so this time we used the most smoked malt we could find. Ultra Peated malt from Scottish producer Crisp Malt has a phenol contents of up to 80 ppm and is used in the production of local distillates. Its smoky profile, with characteristic aromas of rubber, iodine and creosote, is familiar to islay whiskey lovers. With its help, we managed to achieve the most smoky smell and taste. Together with a thick and heavy body, they create a memorable drink that will appeal not only to lovers of imperial stouts, but also to fans of travelling by train and drinking Scotch whiskey.
