This winter ale serves as a tribute to the masterworks “A Christmas Carol” , “The Chimes” , and “The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain” by Charles Dickens [1812-1870], the most popular and prolific writer of the Victoria era. The name of the label is an allegory to the aforementioned achievements conceived and written by Dickens.
A guest inspiring source for the visual concept of this label is the paranormal research work “Notes of an Enquiry into the Phenomena called Spiritual during the years 1870-1873” by Sir William Crookes [1832-1919].
The label illustration was done by our artist Jonathan Hultén using classic pencil drawing to obtain eeriness and ghastly appearance.
The label features Dickens in the shape of Jacob Marley’s ghost character from the novel “A Christmas Carol” surrounded by the Great Chime and its goblins from the novel “The Chimes,” the ghost of Christmas Yet to Come from the novel “A Christmas Carol,” and the ghost from the novel “The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain.”The colour scheme is inspired by the Swedish Yuletide (i.e. Julblot).
The label frame and logo font is derived from the original logo of the cover of the novel “The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain” Show Less
