"Blackberry season started early this year on the old Jacob Grimman farm, so early that the commune split in two factions, depending on whether they believed it was a Divine intervention or Satan’s trickery. Old Grimman and his vrouw kept silent about any details. Their household stood a bit apart from the rest of the farms and people will always gossip to the point there’s no way to separate truth from fantasy. Finally, to put rumors to rest Grimmans offered everybody their new light spring-fresh fruit ale made with the berries from unusual harvest. People were ill at ease with the bloody red liquid, but it was so fruity and tasty that common concern was about indulging in earthly pleasures rather than about Grimmans’ unholy yield".///Фруктовый эль с добавлением ежевики. Настолько рано, что злые языки стали шептаться о проделках Сатаны, заглушая голос тех, кто видел в нежданном урожае божественное вмешательство. Развеять слухи не удавалось: Гримман и его жена не выдавали тайну. Молчаливые старики всегда чурались общения с коммуной и доживали свой век в стороне от ферменских угодий остальных поселенцев.
