To make our Real English Monster, we brewed the strongest beer we can legally make in our facility. Then we took amber-hued nectar and let it chill out in a combination of 6 different whiskey barrels compliments of Ace Spirits in Hopkins (We really couldn't have done it without them!). But far from taming this beast, it only made it more delicious.
After combining the barrels, this 12% ABV, monster of a beer has a complexity unlike anything you’ve experienced. Drier and earthier than typical barleywines, you’ll pick up more heat and barrel flavor. Expect spicy rye, toasted coconut, sweet molasses and smooth oak as you confront this boozy monster.
