Historically a steam locomotive was nicknamed "Hog" in the US of A, thus an engineer driving the "Hog" was nicknamed a "Hogger".
What better way to honor these masters of the iron horses then to brew an American Pale Ale? Our take on a APA is slightly less hop forward and bitter then an IPA while carrrying a solid malt base with a lower gravity.
However as you might know by now we like our hops, a lot. So we decided to only hop at flame out and dryhop. We raise our glasses in a salute to the Hoggers who lost their lives along the tracks! Show Less
