An NYE Magnum of 2018 Art of Darkness to see 2022 out. Last had this vintage a year ago, still ageing superbly. Would say the tannic, tobacco, leathery notes coming even more to the fore - and that’s perfect for a cold December eve. What a winner 🍎🎉🍎

Check-in from last night. Turns out you can eek a magnum of cider out over 4 hours. After another year in the bottle, the tannins in this are mellowing nicely and the whisky barrel-aged notes coming to the fore really nicely.

A lovely tart start. Very dry mouthfeel. Hints of bourbon on the nose and a fine whisky sweetness. Very nice. #visbf2 glassware getting its 1st outing.
