Convoluted Nuance

It’s the little things you do to a beer that can make all the difference, and when all these subtle nuances start stacking up, things can get a little, well, convoluted.

Convoluted Nuance, 6.8% ABV, New England Style Rye IPA. Generous additions of both malted and flaked rye to the mash create an enhanced body in the form of a slight chewy tawniness, a hint of spice, and a tinged orange hue.

It was then double dry hopped with a thoughtful combination of Citra, Necteron, El Dorado, and Lotus. Our first foray into the use of Lotus hops lends to unique notes of orange soda with a splash of vanilla on the finish, that is preceded by a more classic pungent dankness and melon up front.

Don’t get things too convoluted, it’s damn good, and there’s nothing nuanced about that! Show Less
