this was a special collaborative variation that nathan and i made for my old man's 70th birthday. my dad and sister love dry red wine. so i had the idea to do a small batch of nate's lovechild elderberry mead with added plum... and aged on oak.

the whiskey kid: five years ago, this was very good. i daresay it is remarkable, now. may have to pop a bottle with dad for his 75th next month. i really miss having nathan near. and terribly miss the camaraderie at the meadworks.
