Dead Head

Lake of the Woods Brewing Company’s latest seasonal release is our first California Common Steam Ale - Deadhead - and what a long, strange trip its been! There is a rich history of forestry on and around Lake of the Woods, and many Deadheads (a log lost from a boom run that is so waterlogged it floats vertically instead of on the lake’s surface) in the water to prove it. Moderately rich malt character with dry finish; Deadhead is bitter firm; however not overwhelmingly so - Galena and Perle hops balance woody mint, yeast fruit, toast and caramel.
