One of the beautiful things about the smoky phenol in such beers is that it acts as a preservative, and often, these beers age far better than an equivalent beer that is not smoked. It’s lovely how the smoke character in this porter marries itself like a glove to the cocoa and caramel with a nuanced tobacco and leather notes.
