Finishing the bottle. Nose has an applejack thing to it along with the honey, rum, vanilla, and figs. The barrel is just right. It adds sweetness and depth to the profile but doesn’t overwhelm. Still get the base beer cocoa and roasted malt. Not too sweet

Vanilla, fig, caramel apple, toffee, honey and a surprising cocoa/roasty quality as it warms. Very well balanced between sweetness and booze. Not the cloying syrup you might expect. I hate “smooth” as a descriptor but it totally works here.Glad to open it

Rum raisin. Molasses. Light chocolate flavor in backend. Rich but not overwhelming. Sipping let’s it warm slowly and really brings out the flavors.
