The Ties That Bind

A thoughtful ale brewed on the eve of the wedding of Art and Michelle Oestrike. The union of Jackie O’s founder and his beautiful bride was a celebration that brought Crooked Stave to Athens, Ohio. An opportunity to craft something unique and memorable, The Ties that Bind was brewed with barley, wheat, oats, and spelt. The wort was fermented in red wine barrels with a blend of our house souring cultures. After aging for 2 years on lees, a bright and assertive sour ale emerged with both depth and grace.
