12-5-16.Wheaty with light grass and some faint medicinal phenols (which must be a taint), thin.
Brew Wins: Literally just bought it at a local liquor store... crazy!
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: Could you please tell me the name of the store you purchased it at? I will swap them out with our new White Knuckle WIPA 50% WIT 50% IPA
Brew Wins: Cool... and I will buy it!
Brew Wins: ...Liquor Barn on Dunmore Road, Medicine Hat
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: Ah ok that's why. We use a 3rd party to distribute to AB. Liquor Barn should carry White Knuckle.
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: There's 5 digits below the barcode which is the date bottled. 1st 3 numbers are the day (001-365) and the last two the year 17 = 2017.

Tasty and smooth but not over the top
Earned the Photogenic Brew (Level 22) badge!Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: Wow that beer is quite old (at least a year) glad it held up...hops prob went a bit flat.
Keith: LoL maybe that's why I got it on sale. Still was decent 👍
Keith: That'd explain the flat taste a bit , I'd like to try it fresh
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: We wont put it out this summer but try our White Knuckle (Belgian White IPA)its a 50% WIT and 50% IPA

Kevin Quinn is drinking an Illa Swilla Wit by Mt. Begbie Brewing Company at Neil And Tammy's (Sherwood Park)
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: Hope it tasted ok, that bottle must me a year and a half old! That was our summer seasonal in 2015!
Kevin Quinn: Haha. Usually a bigger fan of wits so Maybe that's why? I'm going to have to start checking dates I guess.
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: Wits are unfiltered so they stay good longer but the flavours to mellow. Date stamp is a 5 digit number by bar code. 23016 = 230 day 2016
Kevin Quinn: Thanks.

Decent beer. Handy flavor
Earned the New Brew Thursday (Level 5) badge! Earned the Keep Your Wits About You (Level 2) badge!Brent Sweeney: Surprised that it was still available at the Ladner BCL. Not bad even if it is was old. Likely would have been really good months ago
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: Yep...that is a year old...at least. Unfiltered so most of them keep nicely but better fresh. Look for our new White Knuckle White IPA

Found an old bottle from summer 15 (the last time brewed) was concerned it would be off but is was quite smooth and Mello. ..quite good.
Scott Jacobson: Interesting... I have a few kicking around in a local store and was reluctant to buy them for the same reason... maybe I will take the plung
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: IF they are cold they will be okay...unfiltered so its all about the storage. We are not brewing it this summer.
Mt. Begbie Brewing Company: Wow I haven't seen that beer in 5 years! What is the date code under the bar code? I'm amazed that it was still good!
