Oak always has been considered a sacred tree by the peoples of Europe. Oak represents traditional values such as strenght, courage, truth, loyalty and longevity. Yore there was a big ancient oak tree in old Germany which was venerated by all Germans and which was consecrated to Thor, the Thunder God, and it was considered the "World Axis" which linked the Earth to the Sky.
