Black Is Beautiful

For Hop Valley’s interpretation of the Black is Beautiful Stout, we chose one of our favorite malt houses and their equivalents of Crystal, Black and chocolate malts. To include some love from our home state- we subbed out Dextrose for Oregon produced Meadowfoam honey, which provides additional fermentable sugars and a “marshmellow fluff” to compliment the dark malts. A slight bitterness to counter sweetness, and balance to boot! Black is Beautiful is a collaborative effort bringing together breweries nationwide to bring awareness to the injustices that so many people of color face daily. Show Less
