Fun having GC and both double barrels today. Prefer the singular barrel expression of the GC. The double barrels are good but next to GC the additional complexity is unnecessary.

Solid BA beer. Good example of barleywine style but Def a bit more mild than I expected. Maotnprofile had some mild caramel to it followed by mild dark fruit. Barrel flavor had some complexity but also a lot of oak/wood spice. It’s a good beer, not great

FLN, and likely the star of the evening. Super impressed with the combo of the typical BW dark fruit, tobacco, dark chocolate, roasts, and raisin flavors with the typical cleanliness and high water quality of typical HF brews. A very enjoyable sipper. 4.7
