We spend all year learning, growing, pushing freshness and hop utilization to new places; then we pack it all into one huge statement the whole Bay Area can taste together! Big Chicken 2023 is a Zero-Day Double IPA brewed with barley grown in Petaluma by our friends at Crane Ranch. This barley will then make the short trip to Alameda, CA, where our friends over at Admiral Maltings do their thing. This year’s Big Chicken is a deliciously dry, platonically perfect, hop freshness experience powered by Cascade Hops from Green Acre Farms, Centennial hops from our old friends at Crosby Hop Farm, Comet, Mosaic hops from Loftus Ranches, Idaho 7, Simcoe Hops from Coleman Agriculture, and Talus hops. We’ve optimized these hops with a new, experimental yeast guaranteed to enhance aromas like never before! Remember, at 10% ABV; it’s a very Big Chicken; show it respect, and no one gets pecked.
