The Hella Lazy IPA is a collaboration between Hellbent Brewing and Lazy Boy Brewing. This IPA style, hailing from the California Bay Area, is known as a Brut IPA because it is very pale, dry, and effervescent, like champagne. All fermentable sugars are converted to alcohol. The beer is clarified and highly carbonated, all the while maintaining the high hop aroma associated with the west coast style of IPA.
Pilsner malts and a touch of Vienna malt provide a light malt aroma, and then the beer is generously hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe, and Mosaic in the whirlpool. The hop aroma is further enhanced with a dry hopping of El Dorado, Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo and Citra.
