This has aged nicely. Up from 2.5 in 2016. Smoke has aged, but still there. Leather and dark fruits round it out.

Heartbreaking news this week. Hair of the Dog will close this summer. Huge blow to craft beer on this planet. Can't wait to visit before they close forever. This version of Adam has aged fantastically. The smokey leather is there but faded, amazing depth.

Good carb, soft peat and mellowed dark flavor. Surprised. Was ready to pour this down the drain. Similar aged matt's were terrible.

I believe that Adam Batch 95 is a 2016 bottle? With the passage of time, the old school musty leather, smoke, and anise flavors are dialed up relative to the sweeter malty notes. A little oxidation, but it's holding up nicely.

Last bottle of that batch, lost sweetness and a bit in maltiness but gained in leathery and smoky mouthfeel.

The start of an epic tasting. Going in reverse order. This bottle is from 12/1/16.

A perfect day deserves a (nearly) perfect bottle conditioned beer that betters with age. It’s no Adam Batch #78 (missing nuttiness) but it is stellar. Wonderful dark fruit nose, leather and tobacco on the palate. Ultra smooth for 10%.

Very delicious. Flavorful, tons of malt character, with a nice alcohol bitterness. Like to give a big thank you to my good friend Kenji W. for finding & gifting me this beer.
