Amazing to try this aged beer. I like this more than the 1997 Fred I had next to it. Earthy, dried fruit, leather, star anise, and a touch of sweetness. Very nice

Amazing 2001 beer had a head when I poured it. Flavor is dark fruit, leather, smoke. Interesting.

It’s Adam that’s old enough to vote. This batch is ever so slightly too smoky which is the height of nitpicking.

Batch 49 was bottled on May 3, 2001. At this point, flavor is more rich, dark fruit. Would love to taste an every 5 year vertical.

2001. Has aged pretty well, just the slightest bit of funk.

1994 was better...
A slight infection. I do think it enhances. Good English old ale.
