We brewed this ale with Philly Sour yeast harvested and tested by our friends at University of the Sciences in West Philly. This unique yeast produces both lactic acid and alcohol in one fermentation step, eliminating the need to kettle sour or wait months, or years, for acidity to develop.

After fermenting with Philly Sour, we upped the fruity and tart character by adding cherry and key lime. The resulting beer has a beautiful hazy rose appearance with bright flavors and aromas of sour cherries and zesty lime. Extremely refreshing and drinkable, like the most gown-up cherry limeade you’ve ever had.
