Honey/Agave Mead

Batch #47. Is light and crisp. This is definitely a good summer brew.

Daymn fine Mead! Very smooth! Only problem is it goes too quickly! Need a few more for me and the boys!

Number 47 should be called Dr. Smooth or the Smooth Batch. There seems to be no carbonated feel to it. The spring water could be adding to the clean taste. Yes, a unique smooth flavor, no after bitter taste, neither honey or agave overpowers each other.

Mead #44 Elderberry had some fizz? Not sure if that was the goal.

Higher abv apparent, but still a nice, smooth honey finish

I am becoming a fan of this meadworks after hearing about it on a podcast. I found 43 clearer and more mellowed sweet with a mild acidic zing-like Kombucha without the fizz and slightly lighter mouthfeel than 40 (but the traditional is still my fave)

I continue to be impressed with the agave/honey meads. The agave mellows the sometimes cloying honey flavor while contributing subtle additional notes. This was fantastic on its own, mixed 50/50 with Prosecco, and with a small fortifying pour of brandy.
