Provocative concept! Would love to taste the elderflower in a pure honey mead from this mazery! I missed the round mouthfeel of #40 and the floral tannins pulled a touch of astringency i didn’t love. In small quantities, yes; by the bottle…not as much.

Batch 44 is very smooth with no bitter taste throughout the sip. There is a strong, not over powering, but strong elderberry flavor on the backend. To me, Batch 44 has a strong syrup texture which I'm not sure on how I feel about it.

This was one of the best fruit flavored meads I have ever tasted. Great balance between the complimentary elderberry and honey flavors. I took this to a small party and it was very popular with everyone who tried it.

To me, Batch 42A is a great tasting mead compared the previous version. This elderberry mead was very smooth, did not have any bitter after taste with the dryness compared the previous elderberry batch. Will highly suggest this batch to others.
