The West Coast version is brewed with a stripped back malt base, higher bitterness, drier finish and a west coast water profile. The contrast is immediately evident on the nose as all of the sharper, more angular aromas are to the fore. In place of an abundance of tropical fruit, citrus and pine dominant. More specifically, Amarillo throws out deep orange and grapefruit notes on the nose complimented by lime zest and floral notes from Ekuanot. Mosaic displays it mango character in this iteration more like bitter green mango skin and gives some serious dank, resinous notes.
