Marries the flavours of freshly ground coffee with cocoa and chocolate flavours. We brewed a base Imperial Stout with rich espresso and dark chocolate flavours from the malts. We then infused the fully-fermented beer with freshly roasted Venezuelan cocoa nibs. And then came the coffee addition. For help with this, we turned to our friend Elisabet Serrano, an internationally-renowned coffee expert based in Barcelona. Having described the idea and tasted the base beer together, Elisabet identified a coffee she thought would be ideal: a small batch-cultivated, natural Brazilian bean, processed by Reinaldo Olini in Cerrado Mineiro, and roasted here on the peninsula by the guys at Root Café. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, this lovely beer is best enjoyed FRESH!
